The Mobility Data Marketplace (MDM) is the National Access Point for mobility data in Germany. It provides a neutral platform for the exchange of mobility data, where secure data and communication standards are applied. MDM aims to make as much mobility data as possible accessible across different means of transport, network elements and actors, with the goal of simplifying the exchange of traffic data. As the National Access Point, it offers technical and organizational relief for both data suppliers and data recipients, and provides a one-stop-shop for data seekers to access the traffic data market. The MDM currently has 553 data suppliers, 360 data recipients, and delivers 36 million data packets per month. It also offers benefits for road operators and companies/research such as improved traffic management, novel research impulses, and improved business opportunities, respectively.
